Amazing Spider-Man appeals to traditional super hero fans. Peter Parker was bitten by an irradiated spider as a teenagerwhich gave him the amazing powers of Spider-Man. Peter has since matured into a young adult, but he hasn't forgotten that with great power comes great responsibility! The first issue will arrive in 10-12 weeks.

Pros: Fun, Funny, Witty, Entertaining, Three Times a Month!@ Cons: Short so you have to wait for the next part
"I have always loved Spidey, but always thought that comics were for "those other guys" but now that I have a subscription to Amazing Spiderman, I am totally hooked. Not only can I not wait for my Spidey comic to come in the mail, I find myself going to the local comic book store and buying all the Spidey tie-ins as well! It is sooo Worth It!
If you get it, I highly recommend getting the Spiderman four comic series "For One More Day" from your comic book store or the Internet. It ties all three Spidey comics together into the all new "The Amazing Spiderman" - again, now coming out three times per month (there used to be three Spidey comics put out monthly - "Amazing Spiderman", "Friendly Neighborhood Spiderman" and "Sensational Spiderman"). I just finished it, and it is well worth the read."

Pros: Beautifully illustrated Cons: Not for kids
"The comic book was beautiful. I just needed to know that is wasn't for kids. I'm a children's librarian. I had no idea that comic books were racy. It wasn't proper for the kids."
