Pros: Heavily in-depth about history, Stats heavy, Easy to read
Cons: Cheap feel, too few issues a year, editors a bit harsh with mailer questions.

"I started receiving this magazine over 20 years ago as a kid. My grandmother was a die-hard Cubs fan, and she got me a subscription to this, and would automatically renew it for me every year. Now, due to this, I am a massive baseball geek, and absolutely love studying the history of the game. I've won bets in plenty of bars over baseball trivia, and given time, and diligent reading of this magazine cover to cover, you could, also. The "Quick Quiz" is great, and even the crossword. Hey, I still have a copy of one from around 1990 with Bob Feller on the cover that he signed for me at a Team USA game that same year! If you love the game, and can see past the cons, get this!"

Pros: great stories, very informative, relives the past, excellant answers to letters
Cons: poor ads, cant contact advertisers for books

"An excellant fast reading mag.The stats and letters are very informative.Writers will admit mistakes when corrected by the readers. The box scores from the past are very interesting and in some cases brings back fond memories.I would still like to see the pitchers record against each opposing club for the season or starting pitchers that have pitched for 5 or more years to see their lifetime record against opposing clubs."
