Pros: great-tasting healthy food, not preachy, moderation key
Cons: nothing!

"There aren't many magazines I read cover to cover but this one I just can't put down. Not only that but I REALLY USE this magazine! I almost always find a recipe that becomes a keeper for my family and it sure feels good knowing that I'm not serving fat-laden dinners to the people I love. :)

I like that they don't jump on the next new diet bandwagon. It's about moderation. The photos are gorgeous. A few more of them would be okay but what I see now still makes this a worthwhile purchase. The quick and easy meals are always popular for me. I have very little time to cook and these come in handy."

Pros: great recipes, easy to prepare
Cons: some ingredients not easy to find, after years many of the recipes are similar

"I have been a subscriber for years and love this magazine. It has helped me lose weight and cook healthier for my family. Everyday is an adventure. I look forward to trying new things. My teenage kids have grown up on cooking light. I have given it as a gift to a new bride often and have always received good reviews. Many recipes have become family favorites. I would recommend it to both the experienced cook and the beginner."

Pros: Great recipes, great ideas, great information on nutrition and how foods go together
Cons: a lot of meat dishes

"I enjoy this magazine a lot. I have gotten useful information on nutrition that doesn't take a doctor to understand. The recipes are well planned out with nutrition information included. I have been able to turn a few dishes into vegetarian, but have had difficulty with others. The articles are well written and from good sources."

Pros: Easy to make

"I like trying recipes in magazines and I purchased Cooking Light when my daughter was selling magazines for her senior trip. This is the second recipe from the March 08 issue that I have tried and I wanted to tell you how much my family and guests enjoyed it. I made the Spiced Pork Tenderloin with Maple-Chipolte Sauce. Fabulous flavor and very easy to make. The first recipe was the Risotto with Italian Sausage, Carmelized Onions, and Bitter Greens. Also, a very tasty dish. Thank you for your hard work. Even my teen loved the flavor."

Pros: DELICIOUS RECIPES
Cons: Too many ads

"I love this magazine. I have been a subscriber for many many years. I have never made a recipe that was not excellent! I love the website and all the info it provides. The magazine is much more than a cooking magazine and provides tips on healthy living and fitness. Also, great cooking tips and tricks. It is the ONLY magazine I subscribe to. The ads are a little heavy...but no more than any other magazine. Recommend highly."

Pros: Recipes are easy to follow
Cons: Not enough recipes

"For a cooking magazine, it has far too much non-cooking and for what cooking there is, they stick it way in the back of the magazine so that the reader has to weigh through all this other stuff (even make-up) before even getting to the "cooking"."

Pros: Excellent healthy recipes
Cons: Too many ads and fewer recipes each year

"I have had a subscription to this mag on and off for years. I feel it is the best cooking mag for those looking for good food that is good for you. I love their "cooking school", features, and their food nutrition for each recipe. However, there are too many ads and over the years, the health and beauty section is now 1/2 the magazine! Also, they are simply cooking light and it would be great if they offered more lower sodium and carb recipes."

Pros: This magazine offers friendly tips for more then just cooking food. It offers Lifestyle tips.
Cons: Gets to be to wordy at times. Lots of Ads.

"I am very very pleased with this magazine overall. It not only offers food tips and menus, it offers lifestyle tips that can be used everyday. They even have twice yearly cookbooks that come out that are not to expensive. The only con I would personally have about this magazine is that it has many many ads in it and it can get wordy at times. Overall very great in quality and quantity. Really can get bang for your bucks."

"One thing that I notice that no one else mentioned is that they have a website. On the website people rate the recipes and tell you things they did or did not like. they also tell you ways they might have changed it. I have been getting this magazine since 1989. when it first came out. Boy has it goten better. Still love it."

"I love Cooking Light magazine because my wife loves it and I reap the benefits. The recipes are not "light" in the sense of using fake sweeteners and such. Cooking Light's real ingredients are prepared in a way that is lighter and even better tasting than most "heavy" meals. Great magazine!"
