"Not just for the well-educated as some has reviewed, Essence magazine serves a wide spectrum of issues and topics mainly, but not limited to, the African American community. I have been reading it since I could read and it is still a part of my regular reading."

"I have been reading Essense magazine since I was in High School. Close to 30 years.I have found it to be very helpful in all areas of my everyday life. I love the way they will showcase famous celebraties on the cover and always focus on a Beautiful Black individuals. I LOVE Essence magazine, I look forward to all the wonderful information I know I will find as far as Beauty aids, fashion, short strories and the advertisements! WOW, I dont know what I would do if it was not on the news stand. The Editorials are GREAT. I love the way the magazine takes both compliments and criticisim. Essence is so sophisticated and stands tall against all the othe Black Magazines on the stand. I have received some great advice as far as relationships with freinds, family and lovers! You go Essence, keep standing tall. I LOVE YOU!!!!!"

"I must say that I am always amazed & enlightened by the articles in this magazines...I just Love ESSENCE! In The Spirit is one of my favorite columns, it keeps me on another realm as far as my spirtuality is concerned. The fashions in Essence are always HOT as well. I'm a style trendsetter, however, I do take notes from your fashion pages. Keep up the good work family!"

Essence,

By Alexisfrom Fredericksburg VA
"I love Essence magazine. My only issue I have with the magazine is that you never, ever have plus size models showing off the hot clothes you advertise. Even in your issue that showcased the plus size top model contestant Takura (I hope that's how you spell it), you didn't show your plus size audience any fashions modeled by plus size women, except what she wore. If you truly support "all" of your proud Black women like we support your magazine, you need to step up to the plate."
