Pros: Thought Provoking, Change Catalyst
Cons: Financial Advice could be more specific

"I absolutely adore O Magazine after reading my very first issue! The articles were very helpful for women from all walks of life and age groups. It has an excellent balance of real life issues, finance, food, health, beauty, and fashion. I believe it has just as much advertising as a Marie Claire or Redbook. Not everyone (including myself) may be able to afford some of the things shown, but that doesn't mean we should write if off. There is plenty of worthy content in there. And lastly, I can't wait to begin my subscription and recommend it to all my friends."

"I am stoping my subscription, because I do not feel that this magazine appeal to me anymore. There are many articles about what you could become as a person. However, in the meantime I am a stay at home mother who has no money or time for the super expensive things magazine advertises."

Pros: Some Good Articles
Cons: Way too many ads

"I agree with the other person who said it's not what it used to be anymore. The ads for things in here are things Oprah could afford, not the average person. They need to keep it real. Most people don't spend $3,250.00 on a pair of shoes or a purse!!!! And even if you could afford to do so, would you? It's a bit ridiculous!"

"Oprah's magazine is not for the common person anymore. It features products that are way more expensive than most people can afford. The articles are few and far between. After weeding through the ads, there isn't much left."

Pros: Inspiring articles
Cons: the ads

"I love & look forward to reading Oprah from cover to cover. Yes, there are a lot of ads, but I even read those as well. As far as the overpriced fashions...actually it gives me a chuckle to know that there are people out there who pay $300.00 + for sandals. Good for them, if that's what makes them feel good. I don't buy Oprah for the fashions anyway...if I want that, I'll buy a fashion mag. Oprah feeds my soul like no other magazine ever has. It leaves me feeling inspired & hopeful."

Pros: Great reading, helps out angel network
Cons: Ads

"I love this magazine as it always has something good to read and by purchasing it I am helping out with the angel network. The magazines has so many ads because that it what keeps the magazine alive as all the proceeds go to Oprahs Angel Network. That is why I purchased the magazine in the first place but then found that I love what is in it besides the ads. Great all around."

I love Oprah, July 6, 2007
By Goldy from Kansas City, MO

"I love Oprah and her magazine has some awesome articles, however, it is way too full of ads; ads, ads, ads, ads and more ads. The magazine is expensive enough. Why so many ads?!?!?! Also, the ads are selling very expensive items only for the wealthy. For this, I no longer buy her magazine. But, again, I do love me some Oprah. You rock, Oprah!!!!!!!!!!!!"

A woman for All Ages, July 4, 2007
By Petunia from Santa Barbara

"I love Oprah and anything she does. Her positive influence on women is outstanding. For the record I don't always agree with her politics, etc., but she is fair, courteous and knowledgeable about her points of view. I like that! I would like to see more information and great stories about women over 60. It is easy to relate to one's peer group, however, many women over 60 are vibrant, active, attractive, smart and mentors. Oprah, do a story on women mentoring young women! It is such an overlooked but endearing and satisfying experience! My "adopted" daughter is a huge asset in my life. What a gift! Love you Oprah. PS, I happen to be a fairly high income earner, ( Over $150,000) but would never purchase the expensive fashion items in Oprah magazine."

Wonderful Articles-Expensive Items, May 18, 2007
By NeeNee

"O Mag. has wonderful articles that appeal to women of all ages. I look forward to my magazine every month. However, some of their clothes in the "Style" portion of the magazine are ridiculously priced. Example..page 92 of June 07' mag.. beach flip-flops for $310 ! Bathing suits on pg. 92 $380 - $417. Certainly Oprah can afford these, but as a middle-class single working mother, looking at these just reiterates once again, how out of range these nicer things are. Editors...please please choose more realistic clothes & assessories. Maybe something us working mothers can actually afford!"

Too Much! Too Big!, April 25, 2007
By Rosie from Florida

"I was delighted when my daughter subscribed for me to receive O Magazine. However, I am totally disgusted with the magazine. There are too many advertisements!!! The book is too big to handle and some of the writers are not that good. Too much "chase". Just get to the point. Be concise!
Start another magazine or do something else for all of the advertisers. I can suggest a few things. This last issue was the worst that I have received and I am a true fan of Oprah and all that she does."
