Pros: some good product reviews Cons: dumbed down
"As a kid in the 1960's I eagerly awaited the arrival of my Dad's next issue of Popular Mechanics. It was full of entertaining informative stories, like Gus the Mechanic. It had detailed instructions for home improvement projects, repair instructions for appliances, detailed owner reports on vehicles and so much more. I sadly just ended my current subscription, as there is barely anything in the current issues. I read the whole thing in about ten minutes, ignoring most of the irrelevant short blurb-type articles. It is truly sad what has become of a once great magazine."

"Great, to the point with good detailed articles about almost anything that does, or will affect your daily life activities. This is a great "ought to let you know" type magazine."
