"I just got the 1st issue of my TV Guide subscription and I could not believe my eyes. Where is the TV guide that I remember? The listing is only for primetime 8pm to 10:30pm, no day time or weekend or sports, no movie reviews. I was so disappointed that I called and cancelled the subscription immediately. The guide is expensive and filled with unecessary stuff I guess that's why they now call it a magazine."

Pros: It has sudoku Cons: Not enough program listings. ????????
"When I look at aTV guide I want to see what is on TV at any time. This only lists what is on from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM. ???????? don't you realize that TV has programs on all day. Not just for 2 1/2 hours. I am so glad I didn't get it for any longer than I did. I get more info from the news paper. And here I was thinking I'd be better off ordering the TV guide. I remember when I was a teen ager I use to look forward to getting the TV guide so I could check out ALL the programs that I wanted to watch day or night. Do away with some of the articles and put more TV listings-----maybe for all day AND evening. I thought that's what a TV guide was for. T see what is on at any time."

"The tv guide didnt have the late night listings or anything I wanted. only the prime time shows. I want the smaller tv guide back that has all the listings 24/7. why did they change there format? awful decision to make it a gossip magazine. Very disappointed."

Pros: Comes to my home on time Cons: Not enough about the programs
"I prefer the old, small version where it had all the day and night listings. I don't want to read all about the stars, how much their wardrobe cost and who they are sleeping with. I would like to see the daytime listings and late night listings. If I wanted to read about the stars themselves, I'd pick up a People Magazine. Go back to the original version that told what was on and when it was on."

Cons: Schedule limited to prime time
"I'm a long time subscriber to the TV Guide and miss the old, smaller version which listed all available TV schedules. Only prime time shows listed, no schedules for daytime or late night - not everyone has a computer or wants to check the computer for other scheduled TV shows, this is why we all sub-scribe to the TV guide to see what is on at all times, not just prime time shows."

Pros: none Cons: only lsits prime time shows!
"I bought a subscriptions for my mother and she hates it! It only lists prime time shows. She is home during the day and likes to watch movies. This magazine should be call TV gossip because it doesn't guide you at all! Very disappointing! I wish I would have read the reviews before purchasing:("

Pros: Can't think of any Cons: Hardly any program guide
"For a magazine to be called TV Guide, it should contain more information on what is actually on (i.e. ALL times for programs). Out of 79 pages, only pages 62-75 are actual tv programming. The rest of the magazine is stories on tv shows, and celebrity happenings. While those are nice, it really disappoints me that so few pages are devoted to an actual program listing schedule. Also, only "Prime Time" (8:00pm EST - 10:30pm EST) programming is listed.
The magazine is now a full sized magazine, instead of its smaller predecessor.
I am truly, truly disappointed with this subscription."

Pros: NONE Cons: Nothing for weekend days, can't find detail of each show at a glance to help decide what to watch
"I totally agree with this reviewer!! "Please bring back the old, small version. It had listings for every hour throughout the tvguide, even late night to early morning & all day. It also had listings for every show & what it was about. That way if there were 2-4 shows on at the same time, you could at least choose what to watch. It also had movie listings & what each were about. I said I would renew my subscription, but now I don't know about that. THANK GOD I HAVE CABLE WITH A GUIDE ON IT. WE WANT OLD TV GUIDE BACK. PLEASE DO SOMETHING SOON.""

Pros: Exactly does what the title suggests Cons: Liked the old smaller format better
"TV Guide does exactly what it is supposed to do. It informs the reader about what will be on TV for the week. Some of the articles are interesting, but the primary goal of the magazine is information and that is always provided in a clear and concise manner."

Pros: size Cons: none
"I prefer the new TV guide. Who needs daytime listings. It repeats everyday except the weekends and you should be doing other things on the weekend, not watching TV. With the popularity of digital cable and DVRs like tivo you can see what is going to be on TV anyway. I like the articles and to look at what they suggest to see and of course the Cheers and Jeers. The covers (now that the magazine is a normal magazine size) are great, much more details."

Pros: None Cons: 24/7 program guide, too many to mention
"I had been a long time customer (over 25 years) of TV Guide, and actually called TV Guide directly and the indifference the staff had was unbelievable. I voiced my concerns about the layout of the (NEW FORMAT) the woman I spoke with told me that this was the way it was and if I didn't like it don't renew your subscription. I told her not to worry I wouldn't So I definitely would recommend people not buy this magazine and maybe they will change it back to the old easy to read format that we loved."

Pros: I like the larger book if it had stayed like the little one Cons: Why did you move the Highlights??? Bad!
"T.V. Guide is just another picture magazine instead of a T.V. Guide. I am very disapointed. I want complete listings for each day. No late night so I don't know what is going on. I now use my guide from the paper to check out things. A lot of times you have the wrong programing. Get rid of all the big pictures and put them in a picture magazine. I buy T.V. Guide for T.V. listings and comments on the shows. Thank you. Lucy"
