Pros: Great photos and factual info
Cons: Could be longer

"My son, 7, absolutely loves this magazine. It's the first thing he goes for at the library since he was about five and a half. All the creatures others said their kids aren't interested, thrill my son. Spiders, skunks you name it. Of course he loves lions, tigers, bears and sharks too. We're finally getting a subscription. If you're not sure check it out from the local library before making the investment."

"This has been a GREAT FIND! I have a son who is a true ANIMAL LOVER at heart and he LOVES these. I love them because they are full of interesting pictures & photographs plus things I never knew about animals I have known about all my life (like how eagles and other birds of prey have 3 eyelids!) We ordered National Geographic for kids but it was too cluttered with adds and funky graphics that it lost my son's interest. He asks to read/look at these...."

"I bought this for my kids thinking I would get articles more about animals they were interested in. We got one about spiders, platypus', skunks, farrets...I really cant even tell you what the last issue was b/c they never even opened it. I think we got one about elephants, which is more what I was looking for. Nothing against farrets, spiders, or skunks, but the kids really werent interested! The pictures and details really go in to a lot of depth on each animal which I think is great. Its too in depth though for my 5 yr old(it doesnt hold his attn) and as long as we get an issue my 9 yr old daughter is actually interested she will read it."

Not bad but.............., May 30, 2007
By ZaSa

"Not a bad magazine, however, I feel that the animal subjects in each magazines should be better. I expected animals such as lions, tigers, bears, and other animals that are popular among children to be covered. Instead we received issues that were related to spiders, skunks, turtles, dogs, etc. My child is not very interested in this magazine, however, I think it is because this magazine is for older children, I would say between the ages of 8 and over. I personally looked at the magazine more times than my child, the photos are very interesting."

"Usually there are only a few actual photographs of animals- the rest are illustrations. Wish the magazine came more often."
