Pros: Great Magazine for Beginners and also for Inspirational ideas! Cons: Subcriber for (2) mths and a hit-and-miss reference magazine for me since starting Beading in 2003 (Washington State)

Pros: Alternative designs, easy to do projects Cons: Too many ads in with the articles, no price guide
"I love this magazine. Sometimes though it leaves little things out when doing a project - like it never tells how much beading wire to cut in the first step. I don't believe it tells you anywhere how long the necklace will be (bracelets can be guessed at) and the very first step is to cut beading wire. It could also tell on the supplies list but doesn't, and some of us need to make supplies last and can't waste beading wire! And sometimes it doesn't tell where to purchase certain beads used in the projects - but sometimes it does.
But everything else - this is a first class magazine! It's fun, informative, there are a good number of projects - lots of projects! I can't wait for it to come!"

Pros: Designs are contemporary Cons: Could be too elementary for experienced jewelry designers
"Magazine has large variety of projects and is geared to both beginners and experienced beaders. No complex bead weaving here - just beading on wire, string, etc. Highly recommended for anyone who wants new ideas on beaded jewelry and new products. There are comprehensive source guides for each article and lists of local bead shops at the end of each issue. Even the ads are useful for new beading and supply sources."

Pros: Step by step investigative aproach. Cons: needs project purchase guide by design
"If I were to pick one magazine, as a designer, this would have to be the publication! From cover to closing the artists leave the next designer's creativity wide open to offer a wide array of substitutions. You can flip quickly to find the medium's color tone quality as meets the eye. Each page is neatly open as a spread sheet. This allowes for the indivual to gather the tools, findings, gems, cording and color wheel as needed. The only recomendation would to be to keep the designs on their own page then slide sale ads to one side. Having them on every page is cluttering as well as a bit distracting."

BeadStyle,
December 14, 2006
By Debfrom Northville MI
"Bead Style is great for beginners as well as masters. It gives creative ideas and options in substituting different beads or gems to get different looks with the same design. Each necklace features a diagram that shows how the finished piece will look."
