Pros: in-depth and thorough discussions of how to produce the best recipes Cons: none
"I love the way this magazine takes recipes and experiments until they find the best way to produce the best results. Great tips and suggestions. No ads. No fancy, overly gourmet recipes. Always familiar, family friendly, yet great recipes."

Pros: Easy to follow, great pictures, appetizing recipes Cons: ?
"I love this magazine! The recipes are appetizing and tasty, no odd ingredients required. I like the reviews of products and kitchen tools/cookware, and especially the lost recipes feature.
I like that they work out all the kinks in a recipe, creating multiple versions until it's perfect. I've made many meals from this magazine, all delicious!
The design of the magazine is uncluttered, typefaces easy to read...when I'm trying to follow a recipe, I don't want to have the type printed over a picture of food for art's sake...it's a recipe, not a masterpiece. Gourmet should take notes!
No ads inside the magazine-love that! Nothing is worse than having a million ads with recipes printed on the back. There are ads on the mailing cover only.
The recipe cards are great for quick meals but I don't use them often."

Best cooking magazine ever,
June 29, 2007

"Absolutely love your magazine, definately five star, however, I was upset with an article in yourAugust/Sepember 2007 issure. You printed a tip from a reader about wetting an egg carton to get out eggs that are stuck in the carton. If an egg is stuck in a carton it suggests that there has been a crack in th egg and therefore should not be used due to the posssibility of contamination."

Cook's Country,
November 7, 2006
By CJfrom Montpelier VT
"Cook's Country is full of excellent recipes, loads of kitchen tips, product reviews, humorous stories from readers and help finding 'lost' recipes. Best of all - Cook's Country features real homestyle cooking - nothing that's too fancy for a real person to try. This magazine has not only improved my cooking skills, it has improved my confidence in my cooking ability!"

Cook's Country,
October 1, 2006
By Sandrafrom Springfield OR
"I am a layman chef, and I don't really like to cook to boot, but Cook's Country magazine helps me enjoy cooking and actually look forward to it. I like Cook's Country's comprehensive approach to recipes. It's not just that they explain cooking terminology so that even I can understand them (example: explaining exactly what a Dutch oven is), it's that they take the time to explain the process they went through in the test kitchen to develop the recipe. I am sometimes annoyed at how recipes call for a complicated/time consuming procedure but offer no good reason why. With Cook's Country, I actually get a compelling reason why it is worth my time/effort and I really like that. Many of the recipes are simple enough for a beginner, but also keep established chefs thinking creatively (this latter observation is based on feedback from talented friends who have read the magazine, too). Full-color pictures and pull-out recipe cards are the gravy of Cook's Country - both help me when I am trying to replicate a recipe, as well as suggest an artful presentation of the dish. All in all, Cook's Country is a great magazine for anyone interested in cooking, from beginner on up."
